Being a vegetarian for almost five years makes you want to eat meat.
Or at least that was my experience. And so I'm a carnivore (again) of two years, going strong. So I figured it was time for me to be a part of the preparation of meals. From the very beginning to the very end. As you expect it was a mildly heart and gut wrenching experience documenting this chicken slaughter (for me..and the chickens I suppose). My friend Greg raises his own animals for food and has an amazing vegetable garden. He is a hero of mine.
I showed a grid of this experience (which you can see at the very end of the series) at our annual Blue Moon Staff Show this year, but horizontally and not vertically. I'm testing out the vertically composition as per a friend's suggestion and I rather like it.
